About One creative weigt

Hello, I am Hailey Weigt, owner and creator of One Creative Weigt.  When I think about how this adventure started, I think back to my early love for letters.  It began when penmanship and cursive handwriting were introduced in grade school.  Immediately, my time was consumed with creating the perfect letters, unique to me, yet still true to its origin.  Flash forward to college and I preferred taking notes manually instead of on the fancy new computers that my friends used daily.  Once I found the art of lettering and calligraphy, it was just a matter of time until I started a business focused on lettering and creating something that would warm the hearts of others.  In December of 2016, I became engaged to my Mister Weigt and decided immediately that I would be responsible for all stationary and signage for our big day.  With a quick 5-month engagement, I pulled together a full invitation suite and made each invitation by hand along with all signs for the reception.

By day, I was teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students using American Sign Language and by night I focused on ‘all things creative’.  I found the creative process of planning and creating the wedding of my dreams very therapeutic and calming.  My Mister agreed that we should carry this creative endeavor after the wedding.  One Creative Weigt (pronounced ‘White’) was the product of my new last name, and my husband constantly stating that I am, "one creative girl" so it stuck.  On May 20th, 2017 in the presence of my family and friends, I wed the most thoughtful, sweet, and loving man, and we began our life together.

I love the individuality of hand lettering and the thoughtful one-of-a-kind gifts that can be given.  I aim to create the feeling of unique stationary, invitations, gifts, signage and other items to include in my shop. This endeavor is a welcomed outlet of creativity that me and my Mister have deemed required for sanity (teaching special education isn't for the faint of heart).  Please look around and let me know if there is anything I can do to create whatever your heart has desired!
